Worker finishes roading Cow, moves to join the 2nd worker where next turn he'll start to irrigate.

Scout in the SW pops Warrior Code from the hut. Cool.
Python don't have this: shall we tell them that we are interested in trading it? They still haven't responded to our last message....

The Scout in the tundra to the north of Python has found the northern edge of the landmass and another goody hut we can pop next turn. Sorry, no pic of Python's part of the continent: I'll try and include one for reference next time.

Still only one team that's popped a settler:


Our SW scout finds a route to another landmass we can cross with a galley! We need to get a coastal city and Map Making ASAP and get out exploring.

Oh my, we have WC?

Now that does make things interesting.

Gentlemen, we now have the option of archer rushing the Pythons.

The granary build could be switched to a barracks, and we could pump out 2-3 archers, and a warrior (to take a counterattack hit, so the archers don't) and just take it to 'em!

The nice part is we don't have to decide for a little while. Let's see how they respond to our diplomatic overture.

Jamski: I'll post a more complete summary (including world maps) in the next turnthread. It's about time we had a full re-cap.

We've had a reply from Python! Check the contact thread for details. They are not hostile to us and seem willing to discuss a trade for BW (which they'll finish in 3 turns).

I admit that I'm tempted to Archer rush them, but I still feel a little uneasy about it in a game like this one. Any normal PBEM game (and certainly SP game) I'd do it without thinking twice, but this is a different situation....

I'm not totally against it, but would need convincing.

Bronzeworking in 3 for them. That tilts the scales against an archer rush for me. If we had learned they were researching, say, The Wheel, I'd be more inclined to hit 'em with a small stack of vet archers.
