Since I was able to eat solid food, my daily diet has been made up of almost nothing but cereal, plain bologna sandwiches (white bread with bologna on it), peanut butter sandwiches (sometimes jelly), hotdogs (with white bread), vienna sausages, hot pockets, mcdonalds' cheeseburgers but also other fast food from pizza or chinese take-out, ramon noodles... and thats about it.
will 17 or so years of this (and more for the next several years) have any real effect on my health or are the health nuts bullshiting and i shouldn't worry?

Um, I would certainly suggest eating more wheat bread - has more nutrients. Try to get more fresh fruit and vegetables, and for God's sake cut down on the fast food diet.
For sandwich meat, I would suggest buying it from the deli section, rather than the pre-packaged stuff. Vienna sausages and hot pockets can't be that great for you, either, but I can't see them as being that harmful.
My biggest two suggestions would be to eat fast food not more than once a week, max, and get as much fresh fruit and vegetables (not canned, fresh) as you can.

you should worry about your horizon due to the music you listen to.

Oh, one other eating quirk that I have is that I WILL NOT add salt to anything. Nothing. I don't even use it to cook. I always grew up using salt substitutes, and that's stuck with me for some reason.

AS,
Canned fruit is OK, but again, fresh fruit is much better for you. Next time you go to the store, try buying enough apples, or pears, or whatever, to have one every day.
Mandarin oranges are pretty good, though.

the problem with this is like i said before, i work at a mcdonalds and my biggest meal of the day is on my break when i get their extra value meal... and thats just about every day...
but arent the costs of 'healthy' eating prohibitive? i mean deli sliced meats?! wheat bread... aint this **** going to run me up so crazy bills?

You can't bring your own food, or leave and go eat somewhere else? You're guaranteed a 30 minute lunch, minimum, right? I usually can make it to a restaurant and back in ~30 minutes.

Hmmm....well possibly. I was just making suggestions based on my philosophy of eating (that is, get what you need/want, don't worry about money). I realize not everyone can do that, but certainly it should be possible to try and get at least a couple of healthy things every week, right?

Something else I love is steamed rice. Dunno the health value, but it IS cheap, and you can make a lot of it easily.
