This contest is interesting. I haven't really played all of them yet, but I don't get the atmosphere complaint on Archer. It has more than the others. It's just too hard to play as some of the Civs. I got wiped as Sony, then I tried as Microsoft and it was a good intro game. Now I'm trying as Mitsubishi and surviving at least.
I don't get how a game is unplayable because of atmosphere-you don't like the names of civs and leaders. How does that make it unplayable? Maybe its just too difficult. I looked at the units for the others and they all had cavalry-in the year 3000! Why don't you think that spoils the atmosphere?

Why corporations are such an unrealistic future government? Arent they getting bigger and stronger? It's an idea in lots of Science Fiction too. This part is in Archers readme too, same as the others. How can you say that Demonic Sultans or whatever are a realistic idea for the year 3000? Some of the plots of the others are pretty standard. It seems like they all used some excuse like a nuclear war or magic to move technology BACK, not forward. Give a Phalanx a ray-gun and call it advanced technology. Horses in the year 3000? Dino-mutants? Why are these OK but corporations are not OK?

What are OT characters? Are they the rulers in Archer? I thought they were made up computer names.
