Possible, but I doubt it. They keep having to increase the budgets on these things in order to get the audiences into the theaters, and it shouldn't be long before they start getting diminishing returns. (Think of the huge number of low-budget Godzilla movies compared to the single big-budget Godzilla movie -- they could have kept cranking out the low-budget films indefinitely, but they know that they're going to eat a big loss if they make another big-budget version.)

All Freddy and Jason movies are crap 'cept Jason X, there's just something inherently funny about Jason in space, and that camp scene almost made me cry it was so funny.

Freddy vs. Jason looks like it's gonna suck completely just like all the other Freddy and/or Jason movies. I hope they kill each other and both the series are put to rest.

i didnt mean literally an eternity. just that they will probably definately want to make more sequals, as they have made sequals now for what, 2 and a half decades? 3 decades?
