	A worry of mine Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

I am by nature a cautious person who looks for things that just don't seem right. In this game many things don't seem right. But a increasing nagging concern has been bothering me. I suspect Gs is cheating or being helped by a cheater. Let me explain, without names, what i mean. During the 1st demogame there was a serious concern that a particular person was playing ahead. We couldn't prove it, but it seem his guesses were just alittle too accurate. This happened, not once but several times and a pattern emerged. Well this person is on GS and as we all know it is possible to see the other teams game. In addition I have seen our password, dtrategy, "d" substituted for another "s" in writings on the forum. People who do such spying like to leave a calling card and a hint that usually is missed. So there could be a possibility he has logged into our chat as another member. I hope this is not true but if a team will manipulate the game engine, it might look a blind eye to somebody using such information. I do not believe NYE or Sir Ralph would ever sanction such action or knowingly use information thus gained, but they might not know where the infor comes from. He might just say he got it in chat.(and that might even be the truth)

I can tell you that I've never seen anything which could be seen as "cheating." The same goes for all teams, and it says a lot about the integrity of the team.

There is no "single person" who is giving astonishing predictions or plans and everyone is swept up in them and says "yes, this is right!" Even if someone was cheating under their own accord, they're doing so in a way which is not affecting the game in a manner which anyone could possible notice.

Hope I can allay some fears. Cheating is where I put my foot down.

GS is in the best postition as they had the save first and could have played through everyone's turns to see where they are located.

You also used to be able to load from the game in single player mode and become a random player, but it would always be someone after you, which means a GS person could load the save that way and eventually see every other team's turn.

I assume this last one was fixed in the latest patch though.

Everyone knows about dtrategy. GoW members have used it many times in the public forums. The only place we use it as a password is in ND-GoW chats, and we haven't seen any out of place members there.

Anyways, we could change the ND-GoW password next time if you want.

How about "cheater" or "dishonorable chicken"?

Not that we need to harp about how they committed a "fowl" by manipulating the game mechanics and their "fowl deed" of undermining and sabotaging our war efforts.
