What if........... What if tommorow the U.S. dissapears off the face of the earth? Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

The sun rises tommorow morning and the entire continental United States suddenly dissapears(except New York because I live there and like living ).

This would obviously cause quite the global stir, but after the initial shock of "what the hell happened?"-what happens?

Serious responses please! Be creative!

It would take about 10 years, but a war will erupt over food reserves... This will spark a nuclear holocaust, population would decline... Once war and the radiation settles, who knows... but it would initially really suck.

You mean the whole continent dissapeared or just all citys and humans? In the second case, it will get soon rushed by some crazy europeans (again!) to get melted to the new americans. In 10 years it would just be like the old america

The whole continent disapeared, except NY which is now an island in the Atlantic ocean(as stated before, because I live in NY and like living!).

Ever read the book "1632", or "Island in the Sea of Time"?

Both of them describe a small community disappearing from today and re-appearing hundreds of years ago, with the land from hundreds of years ago appearing in the present.

Pretty entertaining books.

I will go tommorow and get one of those books, and read it in one sitting(I like the premise heh).

Are they a series? If not, which do you recommend more?
