	Good evening all... Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

Hi, Dracon here. I returned to Apolyton yesterday after a long sabbatical in the "real" world... things aren't so good out there I must admit.
When I first came to this site I was a pimply little kid in my 2nd year of High School... now I'm no longer pimply, but arguably still a kid (nearly 19)... first year of University, doing Political Science.
So what's new in here? Have Spink and YYYH been given amnesty? Eh.... I s'pose you've given up on all that crap. Serious discussion seems to have completely displaced the old buffoonery... I s'pose we're all growing older in unison, hey?
Well... any old mates of mine should post an update on their lives. I've lost touch with the virtual world... I rarely play Civ anymore... The Mod Asylum went down of it's own accord... pretty sad hey? But I'm back. Where's the fanfare?
Oh and is Ming still here? This thread'll probably be deleted for it's blatant self indulgence... but Leos never make a quiet entrance.

why do some posters leave and never come back, why do some leave, but later come back, and why do some people never leave and seem to post here forever?

I guess I'm more or less in the last category, though I have left for short periods of time.

Not really.

The forum is moderated by funless grumpy middle aged American men who don't understand buffoonery. They call it spam and have progressively tightened the moderation until the spark of genius was extinguished and all we are left is that awful bland conformity and terrible colour coordination and bad taste which is Middle America.

I'm starting to think of this forum as an extended episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond". Need I say more?

Even EVC has been squeezed out and can't amuse us anymore as he once so brilliantly did. People came here just to see that boy in action.

Of course after 9/11 many Yanks seem to have lost their sense of humour entirely - sad huh? They look like they need a good laugh. They just don't have that ability that we Australians have to laugh in the face of death, make jokes about adversity.
