Fez -

Add up all those little "mistakes" and we end up with polls showing roughly half the people think Iraq was behind 9/11 and the skids are greased for a war. Were you equally dismissive of Clinton's bombing of the Sudanese aspirin factory? Many Republicans still point to that episode as an indictment of Clinton's foreign policy. I'm tired of Republicrats and their Tonkin Gulf's getting us into wars.

Then someone should tell all those cabinet officials falling on swords while Bush takes responsibility.

Fez -
quote:
What a lie. I hate liars.

That's nice, but can you be specific about this "lie"? Do you deny polls showed roughly half of Americans believed Iraq was behind 9/11? Do you deny these polls reflected all those little "mistakes" made by the Bush administration to indict Iraq over the months following 9/11?

quote:
Excuse me, but Clinton actually defended Bush as of late.

Hmm...citing a liar you supposedly hate as a defense hardly speaks well for your position, but you didn't answer my question. And Clinton didn't say Bush's speech was accurate, he only said his "mistake" was understandable. Fine, then Bush should admit the "mistake" and apologise for mis-leading everyone. That's what I expect from someone taking responsibility...

quote:
You are nothing more than a liar... please get off the political bias, and start realizing reality. I am tired of demoncrats endangering democracy.

So now you're claiming no Republicans criticised Clinton for bombing an aspirin factory in the Sudan? Btw, I'm not a
demo(n)crat and I could care less for "democracy"...

Actually I am going to accuse those who were against the war, as they are against national security and the interests of democracy. They want to see America suffer at the hands of a dictator. You want to see that.

Iraq posed no threat to the US; however, wasting the military's time toppling the Saddam government was a collossal waste of time and energy and also generated ill-will that will hamper the fight against terrorists.

Actually the US liberated the Iraqi people, the Iraqi regime had weapons of mass destruction it most likely destroyed or got rid of, and was a threat to the its neighbors, Israel and others. So you are wrong.

Some liberation. They still haven't replaced the Saddam government with something better. Do you honestly think they will allow your precious democracy if some Islamist party wins the elections?

So let me get this straight... while it was fighting for life and death, with little to nothing to lose, the Iraqi government chose to destroy its weapons rather than use them And you claim it would have used them in any other situation where its survival was not on the line

Yes they have. If a Islamist wins, we will just have to go the Tunisian route. A secular state, but where rights are respected of everybody except islamist fundamentalists. At least the country is developed.

I think Saddam didn't want the whole world to turn against him. And liberals like you to turn against him. Your have a love affair for his policies of massacres, such as rape, used against women and freedom wanting people.

So why are you against the war? Hey you are right. Saddam did have an election. Everybody had to vote yes or their families would die. Some democracy... based on your own ideas.

If necessary a state like Tunisia will have to be instated. Not a problem. A is not like option B. You can have a democratic dictatorship like that of Tunisia, or you can have a bloodthirsty one like Saddam Hussein.

Tunisia isn't around launching invasions on other countries, nor have they went around releasing chemical/bio gasses on its people. Tunisia is a land that is a model for the Arab world. As is the United Arab Emirates. If any thing Iraq should go down the path of the UAE.
