	Rubik's Cube Help Inflate your Upload Space

School's over. I have another couple months to do nothing until a bunch of psychologists decides on my future in the next 4-10 years on the basis of my drawings of people, homes, trees and all this psychological crap.

Life was pretty meaningless in the last month and that's how I like it, or at least that's what I thought.

Err... anyway, i'm bored and I decided that in exactly 7 days I will be able to solve a Rubik's cube in less than 5 minutes, on average.

So how do I do it? I found lots of internet sites with nice applets and whatnot, but all of them seem to assume too much about my capabilities. Even in the best of them, I manage to get lost after a few steps.
My problem is that my "visual understanding" is very poor. All those sites think that after one example of a move I can figure out how and when to use it in the future, while at best the only thing I can do is to stare on the damn thing and try to convince myself not to give up.

Books are out of the question since our city library sucks and i'm not going to spend any money on this.

The first poster who finds a REALLY good site that explains everything from step 1 to the end in enough detail and simplicity for a 5 year old to understand, and with lots of pictures... will choose a sig that I will use for the next week.

I made a lot of money/drings in bars by being able to do the 3 to an edge one in less than 90 seconds and the 4 to an edge one in less than 5 minutes.

It's not hard once you learn the patterns.

I always just peeled the stickers off and put them back on in the correct order. Or you can use a butter knife to pry the bits off the main section and put them back in the proper order.

That particular solution is called 'Lee's Butter Knife' - kinda like Occam's Razor, only duller.

panag - that's why you only have to solve it once. How many times can you screw something up yourself before you admit you've fixed it?

Given my 'skill' at spatial relations (laugh aloud), Rubic's cube is a nightmare.

But I did get about 2 lines further into that solution than Eli before drifting off ............

I cant completely solve it yet. There is one part that I never manage to solve by myself, but another couple hours ot playing with and I should be able to suceed all on my own.
