Her name is Sophia (Sophie) and she is now 22 months old (she is just 8-9 months in that picture). Like a lot of parents we think she's advanced for her age, but regardless we are very pleased with how she is developing - for example, just over a month ago she started helping me walk the dogs twice a day. She also knows to put her dishes in the sink when done, and how to prepare herself for dinner. She has a relatively complicated babble, with about 10 identifiable phrases and a bunch more that we've yet to figure out*.

Here's a relatively recent thread that includes not only Sophie pictures (though the link will take you to page two... ) but pictures of other cute Apolytoner babies. IIRC, Sten's picture on the last page is especially cute.

*For example, she says "I love you" by saying "I name a name", ala "I Mama a Mama" or "I Dada a Dada" or "I anana a anana" (she doesn't say the "b" in banana - which is really damned precious.)

sounds like good times to me. Maybe I'll get a baby of my own some day too. My rage against yelling, crying and pooping babies has just diminished to a level where I can see myself as having one. It would be kind of fun to come back from work and have the dog and one of those things running and racing to me at the door

Nope and see that's the problem. I don't want just anyone to be the mother of my children.. My kids deserve a good and caring father (me) and a great mom who can do the mom stuff, or learn them. And I need to be able to provide to them, they won't be left out of anything (not spoiling though, at least try not to).
So I figure it'll take few more years

Blah, I'd rather take care of someone else's ridiculously cute kids. That way, when they get too poopy, screamy, or unmanageable, I just hand 'em back over to whomever holds their contracts in perpetuity, (i.e. the parents, hereafter called the Lessor)

JohnT, that's just NAUSEATINGLY cute. NOTHING should ever be that cute. I'm getting a bit sick from the cute overdose - this is worse than gummi Pokemons.

We were talking about how we thought of each other like their avatars. I still say I bear a resemblance to the pib boy. My hair isn't blonde like that anymore, but I look like a little kid still, and like to play with guns

course right now I'm going with the pentagram avatar. I just like satanist stuff.

I just wish my pictures didn't get ruined . I'm still pissed about that. I had that camera in the middle of nowhere. I was doing massive amounts of hiking in Arches and Canyonlands national parks. Mostly in Canyonlands. That park is cool because it isn't crowded at all. You can hike some of those trails and not see anyone else for hours. I was doing a lot of rock scrambling. But my camera decided to **** the bed at Sea World
