"Moon Under the Water, a Wetherspoon's on Charing Cross Lane near Leicester Square for an afternoon and (mainly) evening of drinking and revelry."

NOT THE PUB you want - this one is actually on Leicester Square. Quite easy to confuse the two (Wetherspoons are pretty daft, naming two of their pubs that are five minutes walk apart the bloody same name)

Good move, we need a final thread to confirm all the details...perhaps we could do with a map of the area, including Victoria (where rj is coming from)...I will sort that out later but if someone gets the chance to do it before me...gopher it...

Should be a cracking day too in terms of weather...I do hope it isn't too humid, otherwise mid-30s is great by my book

Now what we need is a time for the meeting to start...5pm officially? I wouldn't mind taking the opportunity to take Andy around London a bit first and show him the sights...

As much as I loved your fair country I'm leaving tomorrow. I've learned that Pub's are the best (especially Oriel Pub, Al has the best specials, like £2 Irish Car Bombs) - too bad they close at 11, and nothing beats a late-night run to a Kebab Van (Mehdi's rules!).

Have fun and take a shot for me - Jager, Sambucca, Goldschlager, it's all the same.

On the coach eh Peter? (presuming you are from Oxford as it says in your location field). You'll need to walk from Victoria Coach Station to the train station...I recommend that you meet in the archway coming out of Victoria (lefthand most) towards the front where all the buses stop...

A mile or so...you head down Buckingham Palace Road to, shock horror, Buckingham Palace, straight down The Mall under Admiralty Arch which brings you out at Trafalgar Square...turn left there down Charing Cross Road and go down there until you reach the pub. It's really a pretty nice walk...done it myself a few times...
