	MAST, What to do With Them? Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

This is the thread to discuss what we are going to do with MAST when we officialy meet them. Our diplomacy with them, ambassadors and anything like that. I do personally want to be an ambassador to this team.

Hmm ... Nuc Master. You really want THIS team?? They are probably going to be the most difficult team to deal with and their cheif diplomat/minister of information is one of the best politicians/diplomats I've ever come across in these games.

As far as what to do, we express joy and pleasantries with them, and begin to work out a program for tech sharing/trading that will get us happily to the middle ages.

We DO NOT tell them where we are.

We also need to remember that we're Greece, one of the most difficult nations to attack in the early game. MAST will likely play friendly until the Middle Ages when they can come after us with stronger units, so it won't be in our complete advantage to rush out of the Stone Ages TOO fast ... we will need to balance growth with tech rushing, and we definately need to find other civs to trade with.

Togas, I really do want this team. I feel like I am ready to match and surpass their political party. But the choice is yours.

How much do we need to worry about getting attacked by the Ansar Warrior? Unless they are going to pump them out and perform a political masterpiece we should not be that afraid. Remember we aren't the prime target as we should use our military for defens and we arent planning on a military win anyways.

I also agree with your political ideas about how to act and not telling them where we are.

Ansar warrior? Isn't this the Mohammed team? When UnOrthO responded in my overview thread (here) he said that team was Aztecs. If they are the Aztecs, I would be more worried about an early JW rush before we have a chance to get hoplites.

You've got first crack at them, then.

Please compose a "hello" letter, post it here, and we'll let the team discuss it a bit, see if there are any suggestions. We want to make a good first impression but also stay in character.

I think we have an excellent theme for diplomacy. We know most teams won't take us seriously and will probably read between the lines a bit, but the effect of having friendly tone and pleasant attitude is very disarming and productive for positive relations.

Two things we should focus on:
1) Friendliness
2) Humor

Let's see what you can whip up

I didnt want to make it to long as I didnt know what deals we actually wanted to make. Plus they dont know where we are so we can't do a Border Treaty.
