My best first date ever was when I got dragged into this salsa dancing class (i mentioned something at some point to her about having little to no rythm).
It is something they like, you get to touch her (a lot!), speak when you want to, just dance when you don't.
The only problems I can see is suggesting it as the male, and actually having no rythm (I slightly undersold myself) so you thread on her toes the whole time.

), but the art gallery is rubbish. If you want to look at art then the City of Manchester Gallery is better. Right in the city centre and therefore closer to a pub much cheaper than the cafe at the Lowry. You may prefer a coffe shop or something on a first date, but of course that will depend upon how the first part of the date has gone and whether you still want to talk to her or whether you need some booze and fast.
