Seems it's ungovernable, run by organized crime...
Shortages everywhere, so many people have lost everything.
How long before the people have had enough and it's 1917 all over again?

I think that the Soviet Union will rise again sometime however I do not think it will be like old.
I do believe it will be a democracy, however I also believe it will be communist (Or at best, socialist). I think the Russian people have learned from the Soviet Unions past mistakes.
Inevitably however, there will be someone to challenge this. Hopefully when that time comes, the Russian people remain steadfast in their quest to democracy and do not let this future capitalist pigdog to turn the "Novaya Sovietskii Soyuz" into a despotism.

DinoDoc, aren't LL&E NATO countries? That might give the Sovs pause. However, with half the population of some of these countries being Russians, I'd guess the Russians could snap their fingers and have a civil war.
Pekka, Comrade Tass, optimists don't make for good boogy man discussions.
St Leo, do you mean that they would fight? Ugg.
The diplomat...
JohnT, even without these countries the Sovs would have the largest country, endless recourses, and no restive populations other than the Chechans, which they could stomp on without the press freedoms...
