png is just an image file. It can be 8 or 24 bit with transparencies, but IE doesn't support the transparencies correctly.

Open it with your web browser. You can look at it. IE just won't support the transparencies correctly if there are any.

Ya know, the last time you told me something was wrong with your computer and I gave you the solution, you said it didn't work when it did, and you ended up looking like an idiot. You're trying to accomplish this again I see. PNG files WILL OPEN is web browsers, I'm looking at the pic right now in IE. If you can't see it in yours, get a newer version of your browser.
