	Consular Election Discussion: Other Questions Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

We have decided (20-6 in this thread) that we want the Consular seats to be up for election periodically, on a rotating basis. Each Consular seat would be up for election periodically, but only one seat would be decided at any one time.

So, we should discuss briefly what terms we want for Consuls. If 3 month, then we would have 1 election per month. If 6 months, then we would have 1 election every 2 months.

After a brief discussion, then we can poll on the term length and get this thing done.

Also in this thread, are there any other issues to consider?

1 election every two months.

A 3 month term is not long enough. If a Consul has overstayed his welcome or is not performing satisfactorily, they can be recalled.

3 month terms are pretty darn long in a game like this. In 3 months, who knows what all could happen. 3 month terms with 1 election per month would probably work quite well.

6 months is outrageously long. 3 months is good plus, that consul may still be eligible for reelection i believe.
