With Nathan's departure, there's a lot less activity around here.
Shall we call in the reservists? Vel and Alexman would like to see all this action, I'm sure.
Also, has any of the strat forum guys spotted any relatively new posters that show skill and might be interested in joining?

Did Fried-Psitalon ever join a PTWDG team? He's an awesome MP guy, and quite the military strategist.

There's a new poster named Tall Guy who seems to have his head on straight.

I'll PM Vel and see if we can get a little of his manic enthusiasm in here.

I have not stopped following your progress since the early days, but I have discovered that I don't have the energy for all the discussion that goes into these demo games, so I prefer to lurk. Keep up the good work, and thanks!

Alex, believe me, I struggle with keeping up, and contributing as much as I'd like (which I don't). A number of people have contributed HEROICLY (not including me)... there are some times, though, when we need some extra 'oomph' from the watchers, and one of those times is now.

We need extra thought and care on strategy, tactics, diplo, and economics... I expect some of our vets / elites to chime in (Arrian gets the nod for the elite-to-GL promotion, thus far, with Inchon/Inchoff ).

And we also need some new team members to help carry the load. Unless I hear objections, I would like to send PMs to F-P, vxma1, Solomonwi, Mountain Sage, Lord_Davinator, David Murray, sabrewolf, and Cort Haus, asking all of their interest in joining GS.

I know... this is bound to leak out. But I see nothing wrong in acknowledging the investment that the PTW DG, as well as all of the other Civ3 things we want to do, all take. If need be, I'd be fine with a post from me in the public forum that GS needs new blood.

I again give my greatest thanks and applause to every one who has helped us get this far. Aside from our status in-game, watching / learning from the economics masters has had a significantly positive influence on my own game. THANKS, GUYS!!

I've been pretty distant recently, have had a tremendous problem with my ISP. Never again will I move to an apartment that features T-1, they are far less accountable than a regular cable provider.
