Okay I played Charlemagne all the way through (wow!). There is some good news and bad news. The bad news is I discovered a number of faults. The good news is so far no one else has realized this.

Here are some problems

1 ) There is a bug in the events.txt (thanks to Mao)

2 ) Lombard counterattacks are nonexistant

3 ) Waste become unmanageable after Skilled Laborers are hired.

4 ) Peasant Cavalry is useless

5 ) Pavia is near impossible to attack

6 ) The Lombards never sack the Vatican

Here are some solutions

1 ) Fixed it.

2 ) ????????

3 ) Thinking of Changing Workhorses from Hydro Power to Recycling center

4 ) Thinking of switching Peasant Cavalry and Frankish Cavalry. So you can build Peasant Cavalry from the beginning and you only get Frankish Cavalry from the Wild Horses.

5 ) Thinking about getting rid of the two Dukes and just leaving the King

6 ) Thinking about getting rid of the Benevetan units inside the Vatican and replacing them with Monks.

Any other problems? (Saying Historical Innacuracy will result in your soul being sucked out of your body and plunged into Hell).

Here is what I have done.

* Now Peasant Cavalry has the stats of Frankish Cavalry and can be built from the start. Frankish Cavalry is unreachable and has been pimped up. Now you only get one Frankish Cavalry from catching a Wild Horse.

* Workhorses have been changed from Power Plants to Recycling Center. This is sooo much better.

* Kings now have 6 firepower, instead of 8

* The two Benevetans in the Vatican have been replaced with two Monks

* More Passes have been added to the Pyrennees

* The two Duke units have been removed from Pavia

* When the Anglos capture Kernow they get Warships which give them Keels, meaning they can actually threaten you.

MORE SUGGESTIONS ARE NEEDED!!!! DOESN'T ANYONE GIVE A ****???

Personally I liked it very much. The dukes issue was already addressed. God, it's annoying beating those things.

Which cities? I know Spain is a right mess and I should probably fix that, but where else? I know many are sort of out of location...which ones were you thinking of?

Do you still have that historical map I sent you? Just refer to that. I think the only city not on it is Ronscvalles, which is near the north coast, between Pamplona and the French border.

Tech, I got one of those historical atlases so I think I can handle it no problem. However, I don't have the image you sent me....as I recall yahoo said it was too big or something, so I deleted it. Try sending to my new email kyle@marijuana.com , if you think it is urgent. BTW ... sorry for enternally damning your soul.

Also I have given the Lombards Knight units that pop up for them randomly in Pavia, then Raab, then Liburnia. So you will fight them as long as the Lombards have footholds in Upper Europe.

I'm also interested in expanding the Tech Tree, for as Squid said in his review its really short and I usually finish it halfway through the game. Any ideas?
