	LoTR Mods & Other Total Conversions Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

Hello,

I've been looking around for some good Tolkien-based modifications, rather, total conversions. I found one that looks promising over at Civ Fanatics, but it is still in a beta version, and only compatible with an earlier patch, and won't be finished for some time.

I looked here, but just couldn't find anything that looked worthwhile, so I was wondering if you guys knew of any? I am running 1.29f (no PtW).

And, if you know of a good conversion mod that isn't Tolkien, I'd like to have that too. (I haven't really used many mods, and I need something to freshen up Civ3).

Actually, CFC seems to be the site of choice for a lot of the graphic add ons. Apoly's fallen behind due to a lot of downtime in the last few months.

I'm not aware of any completed project... But along the promising LOTR mod at CFC, there are other projects. Bane Star and Self Biased are working on a very different heroic fantasy mod (lookin' good), and GhengisFarb mentioned his own project elsewhere.

I guess you'll have to wait some time for it though

Ghengis:
Maybe you'll find Embryodead's Orcish units useful. They're a palette modification of the regular Civ3 units (so they aren't exactly in the same league as your project), but they're very well done and work smoothly within Civ3
