	Major plague in Marijuania!!! Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

Over a billion already dead, reducing population to around 1.3 billion.

Economy is collapsing, healthcare systems can't cope, the military has been called in. Many scientific institutions have been devastated so we need help in determining what this virus is and curing it!

One of our worst fears seem to have crystalised.

Several weeks ago, Dr Ernest Tsang, an eccentric, somewhat unstable, researcher at our Institute of Advanced Biomedical Research specialising in microbiology vanished. Preliminary analysis indicated Dr Tsang disappeared with several vials of highly dangerous contagions, believed to be a strain of Ebola Zaire. When we discovered this, we notified all our ports to be on high alert for Dr Tsang, and an intensive search ensued. Unfortunately, we have not found him thus far.

Investigations have unearthed the following facts:

- Dr Tsang is believed to be a member of Earth First, a radical environmental group that believes that 90% of the earth's human population must be wiped out so that the human species as a whole can have a future.

- Dr Tsang's fiance was killed tragically in a bank robbery right before his disappearance. We believe the event had drove him insane.

- Furthermore, his fiance thought the Earth First'ers were completely wrt their central tenet. Her death easily removed the only force holding him back.

Fortunately, our computer experts were able to recover Dr Tsang's research records. They seem to point to some kind of vaccine for the disease. We have already organised a crack team to follow up on this.

Marijuania is in no position whatsoever to defend herself. Only a naval/airforce task force on patrol are entirely unaffected, most of the army are dead and many of our medical personell were infected before they realised they needed protection, and they are also now dead. The intelligence corps are also crippled, so as a result we cannot defend against further attacks or terrorism, ecological or otherwise.

Our suspicion is that, since the epidemic now raging in your country has symptoms similar to that of Ebola Zaire, and that Dr Tsang disappeared with a strain of Ebola Zaire virus, we suspect that either he or one of the Earth First'ers started the plague in your country.

The good news is that we have managed to reproduce a small amount of alleged vaccine. We could rush that over to you to inoculate important persons. However, the vaccine is untested, so using it is entirely at your own risk.

Treaty of Mt. gravatt members have closed their borders to foreign tavel for the time being. This is to help prevent a spread of the desease to the Treaty's nations.

The Treaty also offers any assitance required. Our medical corps are at Marijuania's disposal, and our research in the medica field is being devouted towards a cure or immunistations.

We are also considering sending economic relief to Marijuania in return for trade concessions in the future.

We believe that the ultimate collapse of what is reputedly the second most influential country in the region could spell the beginnings of trouble.

Our remaining medical corps have succeeded somewhat in stabilising the situation. Far fewer new infections have been reported, though there may still be hundreds of thousands incubating the virus. We estimate, judging on observations, an eight day incubation period.

The Noosland vaccine has been used on military personel, the government, health and science officials. We shall offer all help we can in replicating this medicine.
