Got one - or rather I didn't as my work computer has ActiveX disabled. This was about 2 1/2 hours ago.

Oops, sorry, I guess you both misunderstood my last post. I agree that FlameFlash's color sceme is, well, scary to say the least. Oh, and I'm not FlameFlash. I am Wittlich. I guess one can get easily confused between the names...
My post was in relation to Gator itself. I read earlier on this thread that if you have the ultra light special style, you will not get bitten by Gator. Well, I changed my style to the ultra light setting (though I did not like the style), I was still nabbed by Gator. So your choice of styles while surfing Apolyton has no effect on if and when Gator tries to nab you (if you're using IE). Of course, after my latest Gator incident, I have gone back to my original style (plain ol' Default Special).

Hmm. I just caught gator. I got the source of the page that causes gator to pop-up, but all it says on this page is 'please wait'. The code causes it to pop-up under the bottom of your screen, and I think it has an auto timer to shut itself after.
About two seconds before gator pop-ed up I got this ad, but I closed it straight away, so I dont know what it was advertising. When I try to open it now, it just auto shuts my browser. My history has this ad as happening the same minute the gator poped up. Also the number of visits to this site co-incide with the number of visits to the webpdp.gator site.

Interestingly enough, the images.adflow site that gator opens after you close it is giving 404 errors. Are these the ads you have stopped for the time being?
This is the source code that causes gator to pop up. You need to rename it to a .html ending to have the full gator experience.

I didnt think to get the url at the time, and none of the links in my history will take me to it. I will make sure to get it next time I see it.

I think thats the address of the ad that pops up after you close gator. It would make sense that they pop up an ad from their company.
Is there a possibility they put another companys ad in as a red herring? It seems pretty crazy to me to be advertising for someone else..
