	Display flicker Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

Just started with RoN and cannot get the display to run properly . Two problems:

1. the whole screen jumps up and own by about one eigth of an inch every few seconds

2. there is a constant flickering of jagged patterns across the screen. I have made several attempts to capture a screen shot of this without success.

My computer is a Dell 8100 laptop with the following specs:

CPU: Pentium III mobile 1.2mhz
RAM: 512 mb RAM
Motherboard: ?
Graphics Card: Dell 8100
Graphics Card Drivers:nVidia GeForce2 Go 6.14.10.4425
Sound Card: ESS Maestro PCI Audio 5.12.1.1174
Patch Version: 1.0.2

BIOS, video and sound drivers are all the latest ones.

No problems with other ganes such as Age of Myths, Battle of Britain, Praetorians etc.

Can anyone help?

Dumb mistake.

Replying to myself: it turns out the problem was that I installed the latest video driver without deleting the previous one first, and they were fighting each other. Everything now works OK.
