POLL A) Bonus Scoring when PBEM mod is used. Increase the size of your Attachments

Some other clarifications here

It is definitely not forbidden for players to agree to use PBEM mod.

Players are free to require not using PBEM mod. This is just like any other non-standard setting.

This poll only pertains to the bonus scoring when a PBEM mod is used that may speed up the game ending.

This poll ends in five days.

Why are we using the 9* scoring again? Isn't a win a win? Two points for the first place player (4 player games) and one point for the second place player? In 2 player games, 1 point for a win.

Any other scoring system based on turns has problems. The longer the game goes, the higher the score will be. If someone is leading for 300 turns (30 points) and another person wins in 99 turns (10 points plus a bonus), how is the scoring fair?

If someone wins in 99 turns, but the game has been going back and forth before the opponent concedes (6+10=16 points) while another person wins in 104 turns (10 + 5=15), how can this be compared?

Em, As far as I know it goes something like that:

2 game points for 2x2 wins, 1 game point for 1x1 wins.
The winner of the SL season 2 is the team with the most game points after all teams have completed all their games.

Supposedly the two top teams get 7 2x2 wins out of 8 2x2 games and 8 1x1 wins out of 8 1x1 games they would both gain 22 game points. That would be a draw.

Here's where the bonus points fit.
You gain bonus points for every *9 turn lead and for winning under 100 or 150 turns. Here's where this poll fits too.
The one of the two top teams, that had a draw with their game points, with the more bonus points wins

Got the point?

I don't think the last option is realistic.
Yes, the mod gives a boost to the game but that would go for both teams and would give more cities to capture.

My opinion would be 70 and 120 turns respectively.

My vote goes to the second option

Now I understand better, I'll take the 2nd option.

Thanks Keygen

i think for all games to potentially give the same bonus score, the 4th option is the best, altough, as Keygen has pointed out, other turn numbers might be considered.

I only just found the thread. I thin Keygen makes a good point about the mod not really speeding a conclusion, only complexity. I therefore prefer option one.

This poll was a tie, so I am going to post a new poll with only the two top options.
