I too agree under certain circumstances restarts should be allowed but definetly agreed upon before game starts

How should we approach determining when the circumstances are warranted.

Limited to before a certain turn number?
A committee decides?
The person requests always gets to restart?
Probably all of the above and more?
Leave the topic alone until someone actually asks to restart?

checkMate, you had already started a new thread about discussing when should restarts be permitted here.

Anyway I will restate my opinion below

1) A player starts in a really bad location - surrounded by tundra, ice etc.

2) The turn crashes somewhere between the first 10 turns for a reason that can't be fixed only with a restart. Perhaps we could discuss also what would happen if a game would crash in an advanced point.

3) The game starter mess up the settings. Already proposed by Protoss.
