Why have I received a pop up about every hour or so? Many of them gator, and / or multiples?

Another 2 pop ups going to another section, and then getting back here.

Is anyone else getting this? Maybe I should be checking my system.

Thing is, it does not happen elsewhere.

Maybe you should try a real Browser. Mozilla, Mozilla Firebird or Opera. They all know how to kill those annoying pop-ups.

Only one popup each hour? I get more like 1 popup each time I click something... of course it might because you only click once per hour

I was getting some PUs as well. Try to determine who the offending advertizer is. If it pops up at the beginning of the page load then it is probably the banner advertizer.

That's weird...........I just used IE to see what all the fuss was about and I got one popup at the start, then no more.

**shrug** I've received three pop-up ads since coming to 'Poly roughly seven minutes ago. I managed to nab the addresses of at least two of them (I have IE-Mac 5.1 set so they can't just deposit cookies willy-nilly w/o me knowing about it). The possible offenders are:

.z1.adserver.com

.gator.com

Hopefully this information will prove useful to whoever might care.

This has been discussed to death. Change your viewing style to Ultra Special, and you should receive less PU's.

I have been using Ultra special for over a year, yet all of the sudden I'm getting PUs.

Odd. Using Moz and ain't gotten a thing. I'll sign in on IE though

EDIT: I'm going to put an outside link here to test some more. It is indeed likely all you guys just got infected with spyware OR you're getting it from another app or site.
