Terrorism works only on this level, it causes fear, and gains support of sympathatic people to join the terrorist cause. Other then that terrorism is just the desperate attempts of people to bring about what they wish. If a terrorist did not have alot kids then they would snuff themselfs out by all dieing in suicide attacks, or if they lost support of people. It is not a very good tactic to use to wage wars, but it is good for distractions, gaining support of other terrorist wannabees, and quick very high destructive attack on millions.

And considering the Haganah/Jewish Agency represented the overwhelming majority, could one not argue that your statement is a generalisation, and that "the" zionists did no such thing? Terrorism is a typical term that is reserved for the beholder of the perceived terrorist act. The term is coined for internal use of the victim of the act committed against them. Labelling an act as terrorism is a defensive move, not an offensive one.

The New Territories were all that was leased. Hong Kong Island was British Territory. However, I thought that their claim pre-dated the Opium Wars...Hmmm...will have to look it up.
