The average chimp has an IQ of about 40. A retarded Chimp's IQ is unlikely to less than half that of a normal Chimp since it would otherwise be classified as comatose -(same with humans).

If we therefore assume that a retarded monkey has an IQ of 21, then how many fit into a barrel?

The average volume of a chimp is about 2000cc
The average volume of a whiskey barrel is 14000cc

Hence you can fit 7 chimps into a barrel. With 7 retarded chimps at IQ 21 = 21 * 7 => 147

So the IQ of a barrel of monkeys is 147, which is not particularly stupid. In fact a barrel full of monkeys could get into Mensa.

The mistake you are making is assuming that the barrel will be full of chimps. For instance, I don't think you can fit many gorillas or orangutangs in a barrel.

The goal is not to send the correct answers, but to answer the same thing as many other people have answered as possible. (Pre-planning your answers with them is not allowed.)
