Since none of you lazy people will ever read my non lethal crowd control thread because it's long and full of stuff unrelated to this, I'll make a new thread.

Ok, I thought of making a new door, safety system.
It has built in some tubes, aimed about 20 cm from the ground and shoots what ever bean bags etc. Also shoots few paint ball type of bullets to mark the intruder.

It is hidden, so the tubes won't stick out, only if you trigger it, they come out to take you down. It's safe though, it hurts very much, but is not dangerous.

Now, at the same time videocam starts taping what's happening outside your door. It also alarms the cops. So, cops are going to be in your yard in few seconds, knowing the situation what is happening. And they like that videotape as evidence of what happened. If the guy gets away, he has been shot and marked. If cops don't find him.. fine, but you still have that videotape of his face. And you have proof you used your door like it was supposed to.

You have a secured and safe locked box for your handgun right there if you have one and want to keep it there, so you can just throw the handcufs to the guy when he's downed with the bean bags. Just wait for the cops.

Now if you're out of town, and your door knob turns, the videotape automatically starts taping for few minutes. You also get SMS message to your cell phone, knowing there someone at your door. You can check out later who it was, and if this dude broke into your house, you have his face again. The windows are also triggered to this system, so if he opens the windows after you have set the alarm, once again you have your videocam taping it, and SMS message. You know they are in now, so you can call the cops.

Let's make it consumer friendly and nice looking so it won't look horrible at your own home and sell these babies. Bottom line is, it's safe, it won't kill anyone, it gives you notice at ALL times if someone is about to enter YOUR house without you knowing about it. And you have videotape of the one who was there. If in danger, you can shoot with it some beanbags, and cops are going to be there in few seconds.

Who wants to develop this door with me? We can brainstorm it and throw some ideas in the air.. make it better. We can charge for the door, for the installing and give safety lessons how to use it properly.

Cops will love it, justice system will love it because the baddies will get videotaped and perhaps shot with bean bags, also if you shoot your door when you're not supposed to, there's going to be videotape about it and the cops are there, so you can't use it against people you just don't like. It protects everyone, except baddies.

Nah.. this door is much better.. you can shoot with it, down the baddies for few seconds and mark them, it videotapes the whole thing and alarms the cops, you're top priority. It lets you know when you're out of your house if someone entered it (naturally if you have family, it won't alarm, because you didn't set it to alarm then) with SMS message.. or use the windows to get in. It's a thing of beautie. Anyone interested?

Asher, well I don't understand what is so dangerous with it. Videotaping is not dangerous. Sending SMS messages is not dangerous. Calling the cops is not dangerous. Only thing near there is the shooting bean bags, but they fly low, and they are bean bags. Won't kill anyone. And even then you have to manually shoot it yourself, knowing there's going to be evidence what happened there and cops wanting to see it. So, I don't see the danger aspect.

Its the ED-209 Law Enforcement robot designed by OCP.

This was going to solve all of "New Detroit" crime problems. This picture was taken right before it malfunctioned during a test in front of a board meeting of OCP excutives. At the conclusion of the meeting, there was a new position open and some funding from the ED-209 project was directed to the Robocop project hoping help the police in Detroit.

er.... or something like that......(I think I watch too many movies...)

ED-209 can be seen in "Robocop". It was the "over-efficient", trigger-happy prototype police robot.

Yeah but there are no simularities to my safety door. First of all you have to fire it, and even then there are just bunch of bean bags flying to the intruders legs. That's the point where you can do civilian arrest, throw handcufs and have your handgun ready. Everything is videotaped to protect you in the court of law, and to make the baddie look bad. Justice will be done.
And other things it can do is only to alarm you, cops and collect evidence. I think this door ROCKS!

Yes, CI, but do those things really exist? I mean we've seen those as well as the T-1 in T3.

Well there's really nothing to draw. They are all hidden inside the door, except for the crap that doesn't really fit in (or it becomes thick like a safe), we do a box that we install next to the door, to the wall.

There's nothing to draw really. I just thought it would be good because it videotapes the unwanted people, alarms cops AND alarms YOU if you're out of town automatically in real time. And if you're into rumble, you can store your handgun in there, and maybe even shoot some bean bags.. maybe.
So as of now, there's nothing to draw, because I assume everyone gets the idea.

I was just fantasizing about this door, and got the perfect idea for commercial.

It's about suspicious folks outside your door knocking and banging your door, crackheads, armed robberers etc.. You're just playing with your dog and kid in the living room, and then the music starts playing and it's Rolling Stones - Can't you hear me knocking.

These crackheads bang your door when lyrics goes:

That's the commercial, what you think? I think it kicks ass!
