The streets were quiet. Only the wind stirred the air which divided the pinnacle of enemy occupancy. The flags fluttered solemnly, dying in the air. 'Twas a cold morning in Carisbrook, and the church services were ending. The military frog-marched groups back to their residences in families. Then the streets were quiet until the lone tank patrolled the suburb.

"Where's Mikhail, Carlo, and Brad?"
"Down in the city arming the civilians for the battle."
"Excellent... I predict we should be ready by sunset."

The tank cannon roared, and the plaster from the roof floated down like a parachute.

"Tell Robert and Matthew to prepare the underground for defenses and bunkers. The Karaps won't leave without a fight." Karapiro had maintined an iron fist over Eventis for 10 years after it was sacrificed in the Syme War between Karapiro and Purley. Now the inhabitants were determined to overthrow their omnipotent leaders.

"Take this message to Duncan Hutton in the Fresian Café on Kolne Street. He'll understand. Keep your guard, the Karaps have eyes in the skies and ears in the walls."

The clock struck six, and Oliver picked up his rifle and ammunition. A flurry of fire rang out across the city, and the tank, which had patrolled Carisbrook since the morning, was encircled in flames from rogue petrol bombs, fired from the hotels above the streets.

The Karaps were caught knapping. They did not expect an uprising like this, and the secrecy and maticulous planning which had gone it to the operation paid off. Soon, the Karapirian flag on the General Post Office was burning, and the bodies of Karapirian soliders lay in the streets.

Then, suddenly, and explosion hit a company of rebels. Then another. Suddenly, the air was blotted with projectiles, and the streets were thrown up into the air. The Eventian rebels were panicing, and many decided on a suicidal charge on the Karapirian lines. Oliver, using his quick thinking, took advantage of his countrymen's idoicy, and himself and ten men flanked the Karapirian lines and began an assault from behind.

The beleaguered Eventians soon rose up in view of this moral victory, and overwhelmed the outnumbered Karapirian defences.

News bulletins had spread through the world of the evening's events, and by the morning, Oliver was satisfield that the capital of Eventis was secure. The rest of the nation was still in the hands of the Karapirians, but after the day's events, the Eventians now had their independance in a 10 sq. km area of land.
