Minister Up For Grabs Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

Ok I wanted to start this thread because I think that at some point some minister positions should be put up for elections. I have nothing against any of our ministers and I think they are doing a great job but this is to create activity in our ISDG forum.

To get this done you'd have to change the Constitution. As it is now, only the Consuls appoint Minister's. They are free to do so at any time.

Tired of ads?

But the problem with it is the only way Minisiters will change is through impeachment. And you know that doesn't happen to often. I don't think it's a good idea to have the same ministers for the whole game or even anything close to that.

I think we first need to formalize the election of Consuls, THEN deal with the issue of Ministers.

New Consuls could very well choose to appoint new Ministers, as could the current Consuls.

We have not formalized the election of Consuls, and it is very likely that we will not for quite some time if the pace of current action is kept. There needs to be a call by the populus for minister elections (of course these would be 'opinion' elections) for the current consuls to initiate.

Speaking of which...

I was going to ask if someone is available to write the ammendment regarding Consular elections. The results of the poll and the subsequent discussion are pretty clear. 1 Consul stands for election each month.

I would like to write it, but am finding myself pressed at work at the moment.

Please PM me if you are interested, or post herein.
