Now, if you had said that the BURBS was the best he's done, I wouldn't be able to argue.

Dumb and Dumber and The Rocky Horror Picture Show are the only movies I have ever walked out on.

The Crow 2 was horrible.

The Musketeer has crap.

Matrix was the stupidest movie I've seen in a long time. Even Lawrence Fishburne stunk up the place.

Joe Pantoliano was the only person that was half decent.

Plan 19 from Outer Space

All the Rocky movies

Conan the Barbarian - pre acting lessons Ahnold

True Lies - post acting lessons Ahnold

St Elmo's Fire

Dungeons and Dragons

Pearl Harbour - quote from director "I don't want this movie to be propaganda", which strangely enough was propaganda.

Armageddon - more propaganda

All Paul Hogan's movies - for dumping his faithful wife for a blonde tart from hollywood

The Sum of All Fears - this was so dull

That's all I can think of right now.

So many bad movies to choose from !

I dislike any adventure/suspense movie where the plot twists (or twist) is too obvious (Unbreakable; League of Exceptional Gentleman).

Crappy horror movies (Ghost Ship).

David Spade staring role - movie sucks.

Most former SNL feature length sketches - movie sucks.

Remake of a good movie ("Death Takes a Holiday" remade as "Meet Joe Black") - movie sucks.

Mind you, I work/deal with a lot of independent film makers and see a lot of dreck that (mercifully) never finds distributors. Most of these are low budget ($700,000 or less). Even the wost of them generally don't bother me as much as the multi million dollar studio releases that quite simply aren't even worth the cost of a regular movie ticket.

Independence Day. I hated the film so much, I wanted the aliens to win. I wanted the earth turned into a glass sphere. I wanted someone to plunge a large tent peg into my head.

Exorcist II: the Heretic. I would rather convert to mormonism than watch this piece of dreck again. Richard Burton gives a particularly scene stealing performance as a slice of ham in a dog collar.

Braveheart. Made me want Scotland and Mel Gibson abolished. Well, just Gibson then. See also the Patriot. And Lethal Weapon III.

Bill Cosby's Leonard Part VI or whatever the number was. No redeeming features, other than it wasn't as long as Chelsea Girls. Could be used to torture North Koreans.

Hellraiser III- how to milk a good idea and turn it into cat smegma. Like buying what you think is a Chardin still life and discovering you have dogs playing billiards.

She's the One or whatever it was called. No she wasn't, and I could hear my arteries hardening as the film crept slowly to a final reel of mind-numbing dullness.

Predator II- flashy, incoherent and Danny Glover in bad trousers. And Garry Busey- whatever happened to him since Big Wednesday? L.A. in the future seemed remarkably like L.A. of 1980.

The Jazz Singer with Neil Diamond- a film with so much ham it should have been declared unkosher to go and see it. Laurence Olivier gives one of his awful oi vey baby yiddisher kidder portrayals. See also Boys from Brazil.

Four Weddings and a Funeral- turn on a flame thrower on this, and on Hugh Grant, as yet again he plays someone with an incredible resemblance to....Hugh Grant. Supposedly funny film, Rowan Atkinson as a priest who, hilariously! gets the words of the marriage vows wrong, oh my, how funny, not! Best thing about it was John Hannah's funeral oration- but even that was Auden's work, not the film's.

Woody Allen's Stardust Memories- eye cancer would be preferable. Preferable to have it and profound deafness before having to view this again. Actually, death would be preferable.

Sliver- saliva would be more appropriate, as you'll find yourself drooling as the film numbs your brain. Why couldn't Mr. Baldwin just get his clothes off and pose, it would have been so much more interesting than this film. See also Basic Instinct- worth burning just for Michael Douglas in a v-neck pullover at a night club.

Leslie Nielsen's Repossessed- why wasn't it before it reached the screens? I laughed twice, and that was being generous.

One movie always leaps to my mind when I think "bad movie." Its the fourth Batman movie, the one with Schwarzenegger in it. The person I saw it with literally fell asleep in the theater, which wasn't like her. I've never actually seen that happen before in real life, in an actual theater.

Also, a couple of misrepresentations I found annoying:

Enemy at the Gates and Pearl Harbor, for trying to pass off romance movies as war movies. At least be honest. How many unsuspecting guys fell into this trap?

Signs for trying to pass off a religious diatribe as science fiction. Its really bad, immature writing to blatantly preach your beliefs at people.

I'm sure there are far worse, but these leap to mind.

Independance Day was one of the worst films ever. It had been popular, so I rented it when it came out on video. Rarely have I hated a film more. There was no redeeming value. The only positive thing I can say about this movie is that I didn't pay to see it in a theatre like I did with...

Highlander 2. I liked the first film, and when a girl asked me out to see Highlander 2 I agreed readily. It was obvious almost immediately that this was going to be a bad sequel. However there was a point about 1/3 of the way through the film where it looked like another director had taken over with the remainder of the budget. The whole look of the film changed, and it amazingly got stupider, louder and just plain worse. The only good thing that came from this experience was that we went out to eat afterward and spent 3 hours talking about how bad this movie was. In that sense I guess it was entertaining.

I knew I shouldn't have posted this thread just before I went to bed... it sounds like most people here posts their most hated movie, even though they hated that movie before they went to see it... and this wasn't the purpose of the thread... for those who still haven't read my first post: Do it now!

I don't want this thread to be a "I hate actor X, therefore all moves with actor X is bad" thread... posts like this shouldn't even exist in this thread: (Make another thread if want to talk about which actors you hate)

Hey, I expected it to be a palatable film. With any luck it might have even been good. But it blew chunks. I liked the idea of the film enough to rent it, but regreted the time spent greatly. It made me lose faith in the taste of my countrymen.

Congrats to MikeH. You can do this, dude! Hang in there...

Hmm. So many choices...

I actually liked both True Lies (Jamie Lee Curtis, yum) and 4 Weddings & A Funeral (despite the fatuous Hugh Grant).
BTW, Apollo 13 is excellent. I love that flick!

Matrix Reloaded was far worse than The Matrix.

There was a Stallone movie about arm wrestling that was truly pathetic. I'm pleased to say I can't remember its name...

While Caddyshack 2 did truly suck, I think The Legend of Bagger Vance might have taken over the "worst golf movie" title. Really bad.

Oh, and Kevin Costner's Waterworld was a huge waste of celluloid. In fact, a lot of his stuff is bad. Remember "The Postman"? And the amazingly laughable "Robin Hood"? (Props for Bull Durham, though.)
