San Jose has gotten pretty quiet lately. Freeways are "free" of traffic, malls aren't so crowded... strange.

This is a very bizzare occurrence. You are not allowed to be there, but you ARE allowed to drive motor vehicles there...

I don't see how this makes it "easy to get fake ID"...

To get the driver's license, you need: IRS Tax # (you are working and paying taxes)
AND
two pieces of additional ID, such as passport or birth certificate.

So unless you already have these items (an IDENTITY) you will not get a driver's license.

What this is, IMO, is the legal creation of a "Second Class Citizen". You can live here, work here, pay taxes here, no problem. Just don't expect us to have any obligation to you. Clean our toilets and shut the f*** up, or we will send you home.

Here in Denmark, illegals get rounded up, and put in prison pretty darn quickly. The mere notion that they would have any rights is just plain ridiculous. The only right they have is the right to spend an eternity in a Danish prison, since their mother countries in most cases won't receive them.

depends on which union and what u try to take away from them. as it turns out the unions don't want the jobs offered to the illegals anyway.

pilots union is quite powerful, the matson union for the dock handlers is insane. u can pay the teachers union very little, but the sanctity of seniority and never firing incompetence is held sacred.

It certainly would be nice to convert 2 million illegals into legal foreign workers in some fashion. The illegal aliens do a lot for the California economy, as Che suggests.

I also feel that US citizenship should be reserved for those who apply legally, except if they are refugees from countries like Castro's Cuba.

I think illegal immigrants should be kicked out of the country.

There are people who have broken a law relating to immigration, and there are also people who have broken a law relating to driving without adequate training, thereby endangering others.
