Amen to that.

Yep. Then Granary.

Going for the Colossus is a nice thing. I don't want to trigger our GA that soon. We're safe with this...

Similar set-up as the ptwdg, with us in GS' position, and Vox somewhere to the north. Exploring in that direction, and getting settled up near that northern river could be key to us claiming the necessary landmass. I may be off base here - but I expect we will soon meet another civ coming south. |
Maybe, but I think the northern part of our continent is bulkier that what we've seen in PtWDG I, and that there is probably 1-2 civs there. My guess is that Latin Lover is up there, but that's just a gut feeling...
Getting to the river seems critical. It's a nice natural barrier. We should send another warrior up there to establish our dominance.
I don't think there will be another civ south, but we should remain on our guards, just in case.

, but I think it will rather be our second build, as we've got some nice production tiles up there. Maybe a warrior and then a worker. This queue would allow the pop to get higher allowing faster construction.

I think PC is our best bet at a settler pump. It's somewhat inconenient to use our capital as a Spump, but I think it's a necessity here...
I authorize anyone from the team to disagree with me! If you do, just state your points, but all in all, I think we're off with a good start.

Unless we decide to do a palace jump per my plan on the other thread.. I agree.

Sure .. Unless we get pottery from someone, then I would suggest a grainery

Early barracks tend to be shunned, but I like them. I usually war early in SP & MP.
We dont have any neighbors, so I guess it really isnt necessary, but there is very little else to build.
The colossus is commercial, so it cant give us a GA, unless we also build an industrious wonder like the pyramids. I dont see the colossus being built very often, so it will be there for us later on I think.
Barracks first I would say, and then some NM's
I dont like warriors/swordsmen very much, and prefer a horsemen offensive.

The turns are taking so long to get around. I assume this is because everyone else has met and is frantically trading. We need to meet some teams very soon as I fear we are getting behind.
If our Northern warrior gets killed by the barbarian we just met, its going to be a while before we meet someone.

Yep. If the city is built 9-9 of Macaque, then Macaque is reasonable safe, and wont need protection.
2 warriors should do the trick for now.

Yep.. unless we palace jump, we need a grainery ASAP.
Hopefully we can trade for it.
