Although I recognize the value of a CMN, if this takes much longer, I'd be willing to have you start a game with a random map. I'm more interested in playing than in having the map adjudicated as being fair.

If we want password protection, we could send our passwords to the player who plays after us. If someone drops out, we just resend the game, skipping the absent player.

Hey guys sorry i took like 45 thousand tears to reply. My internet connection has been down. I've found a CMN. But instead of playing accelerated start the CMN will add extra units to our bases. Is that ok for every1?

Hi guys, I'm not sure if you are interested (as marcovalente has already found a CMN), but I've made a game for you if you're interested:

*Accelerated start, M.Y. 2131
*Standard planet, average everything
*All victory conditions on
*Do or die
*No random events
*Directed research
*Transcend difficulty, SMAC v5.0, no tweaks to the AI, but I set all Secret Projects to 'not built'.

I've played it out until 2160 and it seems balanced. Everything is ready, including passwords. Let me know and you can begin as soon as you want!

I--as you are well aware--had such a miserably slow start in the last game we played, that I think I'd like to start from scratch to try to learn to accelerate my game.

I will (by the time you read this) have sent my email address to you via private messaging.

Many people worry that a fifth human player slows the game. I don't mind adding JMarshFox if we can put him into a position from which won't slow things down. I note that he's an hour ahead of me. If (as I think I recall) Sparta always plays last and the Gaians start the next round, that might work.

Well, I'm a High School student, and I can only go on in the afternoon on weekdays (Anywhere from 5:00-9:00 PM EST) so it would probably be best to put me next-to-last, or the closest you have to last...

On Weekends, however, most of the time I can go on whenever.

Ok I don't mind. It might add some extra spice. I'll email the CMN and tell him. Jmarsh who do you want morgan or spartan? Chip you can expect the first turn soon. Um just to get things straight this is an accelerated start game. Does anyone disagree with that?

For the sake of completeness, JMarshFox, an American high school student in the eastern time zone COULD play a turn before 7:00 in the morning and send it on to someone in the central time zone (me), who would play at that time and forward it on to the other players.

I recognize, however, that when I was a high school student, there was precious little one could count on me to do before 7:00 am.

As a practical matter, if you play a turn between 1600 and 1900 your (Apolyton) time, I'll get the turn out between 1930 and 2000 Apolyton time.

Ok so does every body agree to letting JMarshFox Join. I also have concerns regarding the rate of turns being played. So if JMarsh joins His Gonna have to make some sort of plan to get the turns played so that the speed of the game isn't greatly comprimised.
