I don't think business model is an issue. Companies can and do make profitable XPs without having to re-release last year's materail.

i think that my last option would of been the most fair option for all the people that already have PTW. But since Infro games are greedy they want us to pay for the Upgrade.....

He was suggesting that Conquests be a free patch. I can't see how that can possibly be profitable.

I'm not sure who suggest Conquests be a free patch, but all I was saying was that Conquests only materail be made available as a product variant IN ADDITION to the planned Conquests game with PTW.

The Conquests LITE will retail for a lower price and essentially be geared towards PTW owners just upgrading.

AtariJeff however has made it clear Atari have no plans to do this, so I'm resigned to the fact that I've been screwed by a profiteering corporation.

But why did you buy PTW - the only real addition is multi-player?

Multiplayer wasn't the only thing added to PTW. There were numerous code changes plus the addition of 8 new Civs, new units, new games modes.
