We are in badly need for some scouting. We must figure out what is ND and GoW up to, so that we won´t miss a good opportunity, or do a foolish move.
We could wait for Pamplona´s culture to grow, or use some unit,or if someone has any other ideas, then please let me know.

I wanted to reiterate this point since we seem to be stuck on the defensive for a bit.

I was thinking we could move some Pikes and Workers (when we have them available) on the Mountain next to Salmanca and build a road there so we could move in some Cats to bombard the hell out of them. We'd need to build about 6 more Pikes to make it a semisafe venture; Pikes have a defense of 6 on a Mountain, and 6.75 when fortified! If GoW and ND want to kill Pikes on Mountains, the numbers are in our favor. Not only do Pikes cost way less than either Rider's or Ansar's, they have a better chance at winning against their attacks on that type of terrain.

I know we have little workers now, but maybe just 6 pikes 1 Knight and 6 or more Cats moved 1-1 of Pamplona would do some real damage over time. GoW and ND would have to get really really really lucky to knock those Pikes off the mountain without losing at least 2 times the amount of Ansars or Riders that we had in Pikes/Knights.

An Elite Rider wins only 35% of the time against a Vet Pike on a mountain. It drops to 29% if a Cat is stacked with the Pike.

A Vet Rider wins only 24% of the time against a Vet Pike on a mountain. It drops to 19% if a Cat is stacked with the Pike.

These are really good odds for our side. If GoW nor ND attack, we whither down the units inside of Salmanca with the Cats.

Here's a screen shot of another Combat Calcualtor. I input 12 Rider's/Ansar's (6 Elite and 6 Vet) against 6 Pikes. This does not take into consideration any Cats that may be in the stack. Cats would have a 50% chance to hit an attacker against the stack, making our odds even beter.

Me and Big free were discussing a new war plan to bring the war to our foes. TOday I unfortunately have some pressing business that I must tend to (sleep & physics test), but tomorrow I shall make a map and explain it to you all (and of course try to get the needed support for it to be executed by our King). Only thing I can say is this operation involves an amphibious element.

Togas, I agree, you've made the good decision for Barcelona. I didn't remember that we sold the barracks some time ago.

BigFree, I find your plan very interesting, but it will take several turns before we can move the cats on the mountain. It will not be a big surprise for our ennemies.

First of all, I would have our war plans to be coordinated wirh GS. What are they planning to do ?

There are a lot of GS/ND/GoW units amassing in the south. There will be a blood bath soon....

I ran the plan by GS and they liked it. I told them we would have to build a few more Pikes in order to make this move.

GS has 6 workers on Bob now, 4 down near Barcelona. Those will be roading ahead of GS'es Army. The exact path is yet to be determined, mostly by ND/GoW actions.
