And now, the second in the long-awaited (well, maybe not) Consular elections decision thread.
Previously decided
There are three Consul seats, currently held by notyoueither, MrWhereItsAt and BigFree. It has been decided in poll by 20 out of 30 voters (66.67%) that seats will be up for re-election one at a time.
This poll
Another issue about Consular elections to decide upon is the length of time between Consular elections. This poll presents three options.
Options
A: One month. Elections will take place after one month. Month one, there will be an election for the Consular seat that has had the longest time since being the subject of an election (in this case three months). Next month, regardless of the outcome, there will be an election for the Consular seat that has had the next longest time since being the subject of an election. As it stands, notyoueither is the longest serving Consul, so he would be up for reelection first. The following month MrWhereItsAt would be up for reelection etc. Thus each individual Consul will serve three months before their seat is up for reelection.
B: Two months. Elections will take place after two months. Month one, there will be an election for the Consular seat that has had the longest time since being the subject of an election (in this case six months). Two months later, regardless of the outcome, there will be an election for the Consular seat that has had the next longest time since being the subject of an election. As it stands, notyoueither is the longest serving Consul, so he would be up for reelection first. Two months later MrWhereItsAt would be up for reelection etc. Thus each individual Consul will serve six months before their seat is up for reelection.
C: Abstain
In any case, the issue of when to have the first elections has to be decided in another poll and does not depend on the outcome of this poll.
Abstain is included for those who have no preference. It will have no effect on the outcome.
This poll is set to last 7 days.
Most people should be familiar with the issues, but more information can be found below.
