As a job description, sounds as if she is a "copy writer", which is defined by Salary.com as:
quote: CopyWriter I (Media -- Print)
Writes, proofreads, and edits copy brochures/print and other forms of documents. May assist in estimating production costs, overseeing work done by external suppliers, and preparation of the marketing program. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. |
(couldn't find the same thing in regards to websites)
Anyway, go to salary.com and work the salary wizard. I got the above by choosing the job category of "Media - Print", typing in my zip code, and clicking continue. Then you'll want to go select a job title that closely matches what your wife is going to do - for the above quote, I selected "CopyWriter I" and then created a basic report.
Btw, I got $29,721/year, which translates to $14.80/hour. You'll want to do it yourself because the salaries are adjusted according to the cost of living of that particular zip code - if I chose NYC (zip 10001) I would've been quoted a salary of $38,883.
