Turn 29, 2600 BC Suffering from ads?

I wanted to get a jump on this.

Note to BF: Due to the change in Sunshinia the growth will be one turn later which means Wayne has one more turn to explore as long as he stays three away from Sunshinia. After this turn, he will be needed in Sunshinia in three turns for happiness control. My suggestion is to move him SW (1) on the hill. It will pick up one more black tile.

MoBH orders:

In Sunshinia move the laborer from the floodplains to the shielded grassland where the worker is (he should complete the mine this turn) giving the city 5 shields/turn. This will make it so the granary is completed one turn before the city grows to size 4 taking immediate use of the granary.

Suntanland: No change.

hmmm

What if we used the Lux slider for a few turns, until the Warior from Suntanland can be built and get to Sunshinia for happiness control?

That way Wayne can continue to explore South and East.

Or, we can move him back towards Sunshinia and let the new Warrior out of Suntanland do the exploring.

I will let the team decide this.

Other order's:
Gary Moves North (8)
Bro Moves SouthEast (3)

GAH! Sorry HarryH, in my rush to play the game before friends came over, I negelected to catch that. Luckily, I can change it next turn and we should still be okay as far as that is concerned. I apologize for my negligence.

Screens.

Regarding the Next Leader
Now accepting nominations for the next leadership. Seeing as how I missed a turn since my computer was down, should I go ahead and play one more turn, or should we now look for someone new?

Also, email we received from OPD:

Do you guys want to coordinate research?

I responded with:
quote:

Hello!

I've been busy the last few days, I apologize. I think we'd be fine with coordinating research. Do you guys have any proposals? Let me know!

So what does everyone think in regards to this issue? I guess we have to see what they want to coordinate research towards.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

I want a new leader now! You suck!

Seriously though, a new leader every ten turns regardless if you missed a turn so that we can stay on a schedule of sorts.

No, it will not be the same. I had it timed to produce exactly the number of shields needed and complete one turn before the city reaches size 4. By delaying a turn it puts the completion of the granary off by a turn, wastes some shields, and will waste 10 food since the city will reach size 4 the same turn as the granary.

The laborer needs to be changed next turn to keep from making it worse. I will have to go and recheck all my figures to see if it can be recovered. Unfortunately I have a very busy schedule tonight through Monday so I may not have a chance to look at it.

Edit: You said you didn't do it but the screen shot of Sunshinia says you did.

We could always delay the growth of the city. It's pretty easy to do, we just work the forrest tile for a turn or two.

Actually, I just looked at the numbers and if we work both shielded tiles and then work the flood plains when we grow to size 3, then the Granery is built one turn before we grow to size 4.

Eh, when I did the screens, I moved the laborer to check that and forget to change it back. So while the screen reflects what you wanted, I did not actually do it in the game

You used the wrong numbers. You used the ones shown in the screen shot which reflects what I wanted to do, it is not what was done. In the game the laborer is still on the flood plains.

On the next turn, when we move the WF over to the shielded tile, we will be 1 turn from growth and we will need 42 shields to finish the Granery. At that point will will be producing 5 SPT and making 2 FPT. When it grows to size three, and works the flood plain, it still puts out 5 SPT and then 3 FPT. At this rate, The garnery will be finished in 8 turns form when we grow to size 3. It will take 7 turns to grow to size 4. So, to fix this, we work the forrest tile to slow growth and speed production, if we gain two extra shields at anytime in this, then the granery will be finished in 7 turns instead of the original 8.

My original plan for Sunshinia:

Turn 29 with food 15 food and 15 shields having the two laborers on shielded grassland tiles generates +5 shields per turn and +2 food per turn. On turn 32 the city would grow to size 3 with the new laborer going on the flood plains and Wayne will be back in the city to control happiness. The city is now producing +3 food per turn and still producing +5 shields per turn. On turn 38 the city will have accumulated 60 shields, the exact number needed to build the granary. On turn 39 the city would grow to size 4. Assuming the game puts the new laborer on the forest tile, on turn 39 the city would have 10 food left in storage and accumulated 7 shields generating +2 food per turn and +7 shields per turn. Note that at this time one of the new warriors from Suntanland will be needed to control happiness or we will need to use the slider.

As it is now the city has 15 food and 15 shields generating +3 each per turn. On turn 30 the city will have 18 each. Moving the laborer from the flood plains to the shielded grassland will change it to +2 food per turn and +5 shields per turn. On turn 31 the city will grow to size 3 but Wayne will not be back in the city so we have a happiness problem to address. The city will have accumulated 23 shields and generating +5 shields per turn. Assuming we use the slider to solve the happiness problem the new laborer could be put on the flood plains so the city generates +3 food per turn. On turn 37 the city will have 18 food and 53 shields. On turn 38 the city will grow to size 4 (more happiness needed). Assuming the new laborer is put on the forest tile the city will generate 7 shields, just enough to finish the granary. The city will be generating +2 food per turn and +7 shields per turn. On turn 39 the city will have accumulated 2 food and +7 shields. As it turns out this will be the same number of shields as my original plan but the city will be short 8 food, at +2/turn it will slow the growth of the city by 4 turns.

If we do was BF suggests and when the city grows we put the laborer on the forest tile for a turn then on turn 31 when the city grows it will have 0 food and 23 shields generating +1 food and +7 shields. On turn 32 the laborer is moved from the forest to the flood plains. The city will have 1 food and 30 shields generating +3 food and +5 shields. On turn 38 the city will have accumualated 60 shields and complete the granary. On turn 39 the city will grow to size 4 just as in my original plan. I guess this will take care of it.

I have just spent nearly an hour looking this over, creating the tables for the different ways, and I am late for work. Later.

Note to WB: This is the second time you have posted screen shots that do not match what is in the game. My suggestion is that you take the screen shots as you play the game even if you don't have time to post them. On another team I am on I have Paint running with the game. It only takes a few seconds to toggle between them and capture the screens. That way I know I have actual game shots saved and can work with them, do the uploads, and write up the report when I have time without needing to try to recreate the turn.

Thanks for turning the grid on.

I looked at the last few turn reports and could not find it. It should be IW. I don't know how much longer it will be.
