The front bumper fell off. Some ***-hole smashed my car and took off.

Do as Harry, a (generally) wise person says - file a hit and run or something. They might catch the fugger.

Of course, getting his car description and even license plate number would really help, too.

No, but I was there when it happened. Through some excellent driving on my end I managed to avoid some little punk kid who spun out in the lane next to me. Her friend was behind me and got my license plate number. Daddy must have been PO'd because she'd wrecked her new car so I get a summons in the mail. After all the effort I put into beating it, I wish I would've spun that ***** out. I'm not bitter, though.
