Gran' Roma lay at the the banks of the Tiber River. The people of Rome of layed roads to bring in crops from the plentiful grasslands nearby.
A great forest lay northwest of the settlement, where warriors have ventured to explore.
Barbarians have been met and defeated south of the city, and our warriors have gained much battle experience.

Thousands of Romans left Rome recently because they grew tired of all the road building and science research and work in general. So east along the Tiber their travels began, and it seems they're headed for the beach....where they will become beach bums!!
Hopefully the men and women who have left will not be raped and slaughtered by barbarians...

Our warriors on the field have traversed much of the great forest northeast of Roma....or have they? It seems never ending. I mean, how friggin far do you have to walk into a forest before you finally begin walking out.
Warriors have also made contact with a friendly tribe who have shared their knowledge with us.
Beach bums to arrive at the beach within 50 years. Like true beach bums, they wandered aimlessly east along the tiber.

The city of Veii has arisen, and the society which the beach bums so wanted to escape has once again established itself at the Tiber River Delta.

The different peoples speaking different tongues that Roman warriors encountered centuries ago have continued fruitful trade with us, and our knowledge of the world and realm have increased.

Indeed battle-scarred, and what but a good brew would heal our wounds faster? Perhaps my mighty Roman warriors will stop in at the Brewery....
