Things that need to be done.
* We want to arrange mobility from the pirates. Don't trade loyalty unless we can get flexibility.

* We want mobility within 3 turns so there's no hurry yet. We need to do it in 3 turns to stop the drones getting mobility in an effort to speed up the flex research. I did an quick analysis of their tech path and I think if they get mobility they won't be able to beeline for air power. However, there's time to do that later, and if we get mobility from the drones we can probably divert the drones from researching mobility. Thus possibly preventing them from screwing their tech path.

I have yet to do the full analysis.

* The roleplaying story needs to be done. Volatire should send it to the pirates ambassador when it's completed.

* Discussion on other details like the pact, and other things I haven't fully digested from the diplomatic message. Talk about possible meanings etc.

Anyway I hope I can stay away and get some decent work done. I've found that while I'm forum camping I never get any work done.

Vev can you organise the debating contests. The hive should probably organise who's going to be on the Hive's debating team. If Googlie is interested then he probably can think of 2 other judges. (not associated with a team.)


I figured we'll come up with 1 artsy topic, 1 serious topic, and one wacked topic. Then we run a poll in the public forum on which topic will be used for the debate.

With the serious topic we'll avoid religion and anything that would envoke too strong an opinion. The three judges will make the final decision on who argued the point best (not who is right).
