5 pm EST means 11 CET. I guess I'll be available. The ISP fixed the problem and this I may join at last

6 EST is too late for me. 5 is acceptable because I want very much to join. But if there will be more people at 6, then go on. I'm just one lurker. And there are weekends too

Could I ask something? I am the DM and the only way I can make it is if it's in the old undernet chat and if it's at 6 EST. But if it isn't OK I will be resigning.

I have a suggestion/question: Since it seems like there will be difficulty getting everyone to one chat, why not have 2? Have the first one, post a Brief summary of issues and possible outcomes (at the end of this thread?) to brief the Chat2'ers, have Chat2, summarize and post the proposed outcome(s), give a short time for replies, then decide and play.
This has probably been tried (I'm a newbie to this obviously), and may be too cumbersome, but it seems a shame to encourage a lot of people to join, then not be able to accomodate them when decisions are being formed. A shame, too, to potentially lose ministers because of this kind of scheduling conflict.
Just my 2e-2 cents...

He probably has the same problme that I do, except he is also Mac. MIRC will not work on my home computer with poly chat. MarkG, Ming, and others at different times tried to help me fix this. The only way I can get on poly chat at home is to use Java, with is itself incompatable with running Civ at the same time - not good for a minister. (BTW - my work computer doesn't have this problem, but it is at work and thus no Civ either.....). So if I am running a chat, it will be on undernet. If I am just sitting in, it can be whatever (I will just use java if necessary). As I am more a spectator at this time, no problem either way. If makaluha wants me to run a chat for her, just realize that this is the case and it will be in undernet.
I will go home ASAP after work tomarrow and do what I can to log on early. If anybody has any concerns or questions, please feel free to PM me and I will do what I can to assist. (this first couple of terms, that is what the VP usually does anyways as there isn't so much going on that you need a 4 hour chat to do 2 turns in the game )
Thanks and see ya tomarrow.

Theres gonna be a revolution in Scandinavia if we start using X:30 time zones. Why do those stupid things exist anyway?
