Me too - the Gigantic Universe looks great! ... plenty of play there

The hyperlinks on the Tech Tree are a boon. However they could have done with some sort of Mouseover effect. I ran my mouse over and because nothing changed on the links I thought they were not working. OK when I clicked on them though.
I do like the rally points idea - that will save a lot of messing about.
Too much to talk about at the moment and I have only had a quick look so far. All in all though - a bloody good job ...

It's very "interesting" so far - there's a number of behavioral changes from the AI, and I've got a couple of games going in parallel that are running in a very different direction from any previous games.

Nope, it isn't just you vee, i used to be able to win GalCiv with all AIs to normal...now i'm getting my butt kicked by the Drengin and Yor...and i started with such a nice map, i even have a 42 rated planet

I only got this game a week or so ago and played four or five games before I downloaded the expansion. I enjoyed the scale of the largest map straight away, but the increase in the size of galaxy is incredible.

Ive gotten used to the gameplay now and am starting to tweak up the difficulty level for more of a challenge, but I have a question if anyone can answer.

Before I installed the expansion I never triggered the evil interface, but it seems to happen quite easily now, so has this been tweaked in the XP and is their anytway to reverse the effects once the transistion has occured.

Yeah, if you make only good choices thereafter you should get back to the neutral interface. But I don't know if you can revert all the way back to good. I have never tried that..

You can go from good to evil or the other way - it just depends on the frequency and magnitude of choices you get offered.
