Cavalry has 2 movement but with railroads and engineers that doesnt matter any more.

Though I think the banana vote in any poll is a vote for Anarchy, I voted banana in this one.

I think it is too early to vote on this, we are currently researching Explosives, and a Lllllloooonnnnngggg way from that (29 turns without Xinning if I recall correctly...or are we still Xinning?:hmm: ), and if we next are researching Leadership (and I am not sure that having that as our second choice to Explosives necessarily makes it our first choice now ) then I think this poll should wait, and if our situation has changed by the time we are near to completing Leadership then we can poll at that time.

As I have said before, I think we can and should get Railroad from the Americans , and further I think we will get it before we complete Leadership. Therefore, many of the above choices may have changed by that time.

Point taken, and I agree wholeheartedly, as I am unsure what to poll on now, because I don't think the position of Foreign has changed much (though we now have a Zulu Embassy ). There are still no techs to steal, we don't have enough gold yet to bribe (though that should change very soon with Fundamentalist Tithes), and we still desire embassies with the Germans and Russians.

Beyond that, I am unsure what question to ask of the people in regards to foreign relations (last turn the choice of government was a stretch to ask in a poll, as I think we all already knew the answer, I just polled to confirm, and to allow me something to poll on)

I am sure if I was a little more creative (perhaps this evening) I will poll on something, but until then....we will have to see.

As we have 3 embasies now maybe the FM can give information about them in a thread.

Thing to poll about could be what relations we want at the moment with the individuel civs and more importantly witch civ to assimilate first

I think it is a good idea to consider a few techs ahead. The Americans are researching Steam Engine now and it is possible they could get RR quickly if they change back to Democracy. We might have an opportunity to steal one or both, so the President should know in advance what the Citizens desire beyond that.

Just an update.

I will now be able to view the saves.

I just bought a 400mhz pentium 2 with a 3 gig harddrive and 32 megs of RAM for 200 CDN, including a delivery fee.

The delivery will be tomorrow afternoon.

As Minister of War, I think we really need Tactics to get Cavalry. With Cavalry, we can sweep the Americans off the map. I envision Fanatics and Cannon together approaching American cities to blow the defenders to bits, and I envision Dragoons or Cavalry sweeping in from behind the Cannons to capture the cities.
