	Temporary IRC Channel Tired of ads?

Since IRC is all goofed up right now and nickserv is down, I have set up a temp channel. The regular channel is without Op's and the password is non-existent. Please do not discuss any game relate matters in the #apolytonISDG channle unitl we can get the channel passworded. Here's the info on the temp channel, it's on the same irc network:

The channel is: #ISDG-Temp
The password is: Mercury

Just type: /join #ISDG-Temp Mercury

I am in the room now, and just as a query, is it oped etc? I know it is well before time for everyone West of Oz or East of NZ to be up and in there, it appears to not be oped, secret or need a password. Is that just a symptom of Nickserv or whatever being down?

No, Because it is a standard room, the first person that enters will be op'ed. They WILL also have to set the password and the other settings (i.e. Private & Secret). They will have to op anyone else who joins the room.

Did anyone happen to notice that no pwd is required to enter ApolytonISDG right now, and that it is set to neither private nor secret, and that the topic, which can't be changed, advertises T121 as a significant date AND mentions our sea voyages?

Did it occur to anyone to have Dan or Mark kill that room?

Yes, which is the reason we evacuated it. As long as no one manually enters the room then they can't see the topic. There's nothing we can do to prevent someone from entering.

I'm pretty sure BF PMed someone, but you'd have to ask him.

Either way, I wouldn't expect much of a response time.
