	CDG and our Reputation Get a bigger avatar today!

Just wondering: did the other teams get a pop-up message like "CDG civ wiped out by Apolyton" when we moved into Equilibrium? If so, this might affect our reputation in a negative way, although we were never really at war with CDG.

Anyhow, I advise to rename the two CDG cities that still have CDG names to something more Poly-like - if the other teams find out that we have CDG names like "Possumopolis", again, this might affect our reputation.

There's no message, you only notice that their score is no longer visible (like what happened with Grenouille not too long ago).

Yes, there is no message. In fact, if you're not paying attention, you may not notice a team has vanished...

Still, what do you think of erasing all possible traces of us getting the last bit of CDG?

Writing this, I realize that we have one foreign employee from CDG, so it may not be possible to erase all traces...

I believe that the stated purpose of this thread is undesirable. After we liberate Euclidium, we should immediately re-dedicate it with it's proper name. If there is anything that needs to be obliterated from the record, it is all traces of the most foul, and technically backward CGA.

We should invite all teams (that can see the city site on their maps), to rejoice with us as we reconcecrate the Holy city of Euclidium. To share with us a turn of silence in rememberance of our fallen brotheren in arms who faced the brunt of the evil GCA forces. Who stood alone at Euclidium, much like the RL heroes stood alone and died at the Alamo.

+1 to the re-establishment of Elucidium. I think after the war with GCA is over, we might consider re-re-naming them, but for now, that will make our crusade that much more noble.

Yes, I like that idea as well. Even though CDG was the agressor; we can be their liberators! We have never really talked about this as a team: How do you feel if an ex-CDG, member wants to join our team?

Seriously, we should do it on a case by case basis, but I have no problems with any refugees.

Euclidium? (no offense intended)

+1 to restoring the proper names of Elucidium and Zarigueya. (I'd prefer that we not give "Random Outpost" its original name. Of course, there's no guarantee that it'll be around once the war ends, due to the possibility of autorazing...)

Restoring their cities to glory and renaming them with their historic names? I like it as it does make the cause all the more noble. And it is exactly that that which will aid our hardy jungle-bitten soldiers in their reduction of GCA conquests, restoring a level of freedom to the suffering inhabitants of former CDG. After all, a just battle is the one which will result in certain crushing victory. We do not mock the fallen by renaming their cities to embarrass and provoke them - we are magnanimous, and our rule is good for all. This is a great message indeed, and we must ensure that all feel welcomed into the fold.

Except those dirty dirty GCAers of course - they must be humiliated for all they have done to, er, well I'm sure they'll do all sorts of nasty things if we don't stop them.

Spain will prevail over all aggressors!
