I open this thread in order to allow every player to present their "character" in the game. The character will include
1. A name (who can be the same that the avatar, although a customized name adds "flavour" to the game)
2. A background , that is, a customized history who explains the points of view of the character.

My character
Name: Moshe Mikhoels
Background: I'm the son of David Mikhoels, who moves to USA after the progroms of Kishinev (1903). I was born in Chicago, USA, in 1915. As a Russian-jew, I move to Palestine in 1935 (very difficult, the English people was anything but kindly), and I'm here to help. However, as I have grew in USA, I firmly believe that is possible to mix races and build a nation.
However, I'll defend Israel... ever!

I was born on September 26 1925 in Berlin, Germany. My father was an acknowledged professor on the Technical University of Berlin, where he studied under Albert Einstein. In 1933, our family emigrated to New York to escape Nazi terror.
My father was a fanatical enthusiast to a Jewish state, but he died before he could see the nation become reality, in 1946 (in a car accident).
As a rebel to the way I was raised by my father, I never really liked the idea of a singled out Jewish state. When it became obvious that this state would be founded, however, I decided to become part of it to help make the best out of it-a free country for everyone who wants to be part of it. As I lost many family members during the holocaust, I am more than determined to make this a peaceful and tolerant nation.

My grandmother Zehava Halperin of Lublin (Poland) is a descendent of Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak (1745-1815), known among orthodox Jews as the "Seer of Lublin" (in Hebrew "Hachoze milublin"). He was the leader of the Hasidic movement in Poland. Tradition says he was a direct descendent of King David (yeah, right).
He got his title due to his alleged ability to see the un-seeable. He could look at people and see their souls, their character, and their past. He could see events taking place far away from him, and supposedly he could even see the future. On the day he died he is claimed to have said that Poland would be freed from Russian rule exactly 100 years later. In other words, he is claimed to have been a pacifist version of a Jedi master. |
There is actual proof that some Jews are descendants of King David. That is very kabbalistic, which is very different from the traditional rational Talmudic Jews.

Yiddish is spelled in Hebrew characters so you wouldn't be able to udnerstand it. Also, Steven is not a Hebrew name (or a Jewish one).

I am Aaron Berg. Just prior to the October Revolution in Russia that brought Lenin to power, the tsar's secret police tried to arrest me for supplying arms to striking workers. I managed to escape on a ship to France. I have fought in the French Army, the British army in Egypt and Libya, and now, I bring my undisputed experience and a modern orthodox views from two wars and a revolution to Eretz Yisrael.
FYI: This is based on the story of my grandfather.

I am David Disraeli. 
I was originally a mostly assimilated Jew working in the His Majesty's Civil Service for the British Empire. I was assigned as a colonial official for the British Mandate in Palestine. The land touched something deep inside of me, something that I did not know even existed.
After a few years in service, I was temporarily reassigned to one of the London Office's. However, the interest in my heritage did not wane, and I eventually became involved with Zionist groups in Britain.
I requested to be transferred back to Palestine. Apparently, someone forgot to do a thorough background check, and I was transferred to the immigration section despite my Zionist sympathies. This was at the time of the White Paper. (The White Paper severely restricted Jewish Immigration into Palestine). I helped smuggle in several boats of refugees by several means; supplying the schedules of British naval patrols, informing the Zionists of which officials were amendable to money, and one time I even created an "emergency" that distracted British port guards from too closely examining a newly arrived vessel.
Eventually, my sympathies were discovered, though the full extent of my colloboration with the Zionists was still unknown. Before the authorities could investiage further, WII changed the situation. Jews were suddenly useful as troops in the British army, and several Jewish units formed out of the population of Palestine. Based on my few years of military experience before becoming a civil servant, I was made XO of our battalion, which was transferred to Montgomery's 8th army as Rommel was approaching Egypt. My commanding officer was killed in the battle of El Alemain, and I had to take command. Fighting was fierce with the Germans in the dark night, sometimes hand to hand, but we were victorious.
I served through the rest of war, eventually having my unit fight through France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. After the war, I was shocked to see the situation in the Jewish DP camps; it was hardly better than a concentration camp. This shock turned to rage as I learned the British government would not end the White Paper. I was not allowed to return to civil service in Palestine, so I had to smuggle myself in.
I initially associated myself with Hagganah units formed to help protect Jewish settlements from Arab raiders. After one battle, I found a wounded Arab lying with a gunshot wound in the belly. As I inspected the wound, the Arab reached for his dagger. I dodged, but he managed to slice my arm. Later, my arm became infected, and a fellow soldier had to amputate slightly above the elbow. This has obviously created a lasting impression. 
I gravitated towards the Irgun (more right than Hagganah), feeling the Hagganah was too passive in the face of the threat. The Irgun took the offensive!! However, shortly after joining my unit, we were ambushed by a combined British and Arab force! We lost 13 men, and for the first time in my life, I killed a once fellow British soldier before we were forced to surrender.
The news of my "treason" caused a sensation in the British Press, with several of the penny press daily's calling for my execution. Before this sentence could be applied, the Irgun attacked the jail I was being held in, and I was freed. When the Irgun began to concentrate more heavily on sabatoging British military units, I felt no remorse, until I learned about the King David bombing. (I believe it was not Irgun, but an even more extreme group that did that). After that, I swore that as soon as the British would sincerely promise to leave, my campaign against them must end.
And now it appears the British will leave, and this leaves me with joy, for I no longer need fear my former countrymen. But what of Arabs? Will they leave us be, in peace? I fear not.
FYI: This is all made up B.S., though I have attempted to remain semi-historically accurate. My real life ancestors were all Lithuanian or Latvian peasants fleeing from the Tsar's forces.

The Irgun did bomb the King David Hotel, but that was because it was British military headquarters. When the Irgun called several times to warn the British officers there, they simply replied, "We don't take orders from Jews." and hung up.
