Off topic but to do with boxing.
If anybody outside of the U.K gets to see any of our fights look out for David Hayes. He is a cruiser/heavy and while he may never be great, he is our most exciting young talent and has a great pedigree(World Am silver against a good cuban who was about 8? years older and that he dropped in the first round).
Oh, sorry, yeah, Archie Moore was a great pound for pound fighter.

Y'all are crazy.
The only time anyone ever shut up Ali was Joe Louis, when Ali was still champ the second time. Some benefit got together all the current and former heavyweight champions they could (IIRC, there were 6, including Ali, Frazier and Louis), and Ali was running his mouth as usual about how he was the greatest.
Louis just snorted, and then Ali went off about how Louis's career record was inflated by the "Bum of the Month club, so Louis wasn't that great. Louis just looked at motormouth right in the eye and all he said is "You would have been one of the bums." And Ali just deflated.
Louis KO'd five world heavyweight champions, he still defended his title sucessfully more times than anyone in history, and even if you knock him for the Bum of the Month club (everyone was a bum compared to Louis), he lost four years of opportunity to defend his title during WW2 military service.
Look at the film of the Louis-Schmelling rematch, and tell me there's any boxer ever made who could stand up to Louis,
Even on a pound for pound basis, I'd rank Louis #1
My list:
Joe Louis
Rocky Marciano - 49-0, 11 first round KO's, don't like it, too bad.
Sugar Ray Robinson
Carlos Monzon
Sugar Ray Leonard (depending on which weight - five titles in five weight classes still qualifies)
Tony Canzoneri
Marvelous Marvin Hagler

Rocky Marciano is the best, IMO, followed by Louis and Dempsey. |
Marciano beat nobody except old fighters and pumped up light heavyweights, IMO he looses to (at least!), Ali, Liston, Foreman, Lewis, Holmes, Tyson, (a prime) Louis and probally Frazier
Top 5 P4P
1 Robinson
2 Ali
=3 Duran
=3 Leonard
5 Hagler
Yep, I'm biased towards the 80's 'fab four' but thats what I grew up watching
