	Eu2 Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

Okay my game gets soooooooooooo ****ed up, sometimes elizabeth never becomes queen and mary rules for 50 years (or more) and louis XIV rules for 75 years and the french revoltuotion never happens, also byzantium never gets conquered why does this happen? I bought this game so i could get another look at history.:rant: :rant: :confused: :confused:

Are you playing with the latest patch?

Still, don't expect a history reinaction - things will always go differently.

If you want 'real' history, read a book or watch the History Channel...

If you want a simulation of the trends of history, play EU2...

The game would get very boring if it repeated every facet of history every game.

i don't remember exactly the details of the elizabeth/mary thing but byzantium is conquered by the otto's 80% of the time in my game by 1453. the reason the french revolution doesn't fire much is because usa needs to be free or else the events skip over it. that's really stupid in my opinion because the usa never forms and if it does it never forms anything like real life. if you goto the official eu2 boards there are tons of threads in much more detail on all these things.

btw, you should probably patch your game with 1.07 then the latest betas if you haven't already.

Byzantium almost never survives longer then it did historically in my games. I do find that Spain almost never forms and when it does it almost always takes over Portugal. In most GC I play England almost always falls apart at the beginning of the game due to revolts caused by the 100 years war.

If you want a game which more closely follows history then use the 1492 start as most of the major powers are formed and are large enough to stay alive.

In my games I have no problem getting Spain formed. I have gotten the USA and French Revolution in the only game I played that far (I played as Muscovy/Russia that game). In my current game (I play as Sweden) though it is rather curious to see that Austria has conquered almost everything in central Europe. Teutonic Order has conquered everything from Jutland to Estonia and are a rather big power too. Russia hasn't formed yet though.

I often see Russia form but I have never seen them take over the mongol lands and begin colonizing siberia.

That would be interesting. If Poland-Lithuania hadn't become so decentralized and disfunctional it very well might have taken over Russia.

I've never seriously played an entire GC with Poland but it might be interesting. To bad their economy is so badly screwed (even if you create the CoT in Danzieg).

i've seen pretty much everything happen at least once. in my current game as austria hungary diploannexed poland. that was somewhat weird considering poland was probably just as big and stronger at the time. not that i'm too upset about it. of course in this game burgundy is still alive and i never inherited them.

They do if they go for the "Wha? Charles never died!" option OR are at war when Austria should inherit them.

The event is not war-proof the way some others are, I think. Not sure here though.

in my latest games as the ottomans, Novgorod counquered sweden and half of poland in the 16th century.

Sweden didn't reappear once during the entire game !
